![]() Geary - A psycho on top of the volcanic mountain in Eridium Blight.Lab Rats become R.O.U.S., which is a reference to the movie "The Princess Bride" - "Rodents Of Unusual Size". In True Vault Hunter mode, some enemies appearances and names change. You'll have to reload the game in order to get both. 1) Kill Laney White before any of the midgets and 2) Kill all the midgets before Laney White. Laney White - A rat that can be found in the Fridge with her seven midgets is a reference to Snow White and the seven dwarves. After you defeat them there is a puzzle to get all of the lights to turn green by pressing a tv button, a lever, a switch and a valve to make the Borderlands equivalent to master Splinter from TMNT named Flinter. Kill the four "Ninjas" in the order of the original theme song to get a Badass Ranking. After defeating them and completing a puzzle in the next room, you can fight "Flinter". Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Four rats bearing the likeness of the four Ninja Turtles are the targets of the mission "Splinter Group" in Bloodshot Stronghold. You can earn a Badass Ranking for running up to him and cutting off his tie without getting hit by any barrels he throws at you. King Mong and Donkey Mong - Found in Eridium Blight, Donkey Mong actually has barrels on his back and is trying to climb up the mountain. It is also possible to get a Minecraft skinned gun called the "Longbow" its a scopeless sniper that shoots minecraft arrows and the other is a shotgun that shoot block of fire blocks, character skin or Stevehead when digging any type of block. Minecraft - Creepers/ badass creepers in Caustic Caverns along with gold blocks that drop money, coal blocks that drop ammo, and Purple blocks that drop Eridium.Son of Mothorakk - Mothra/Godzilla/Mothorakk (Borderlands 1) Shows up in the area where you fought Bloodwing.Pimon and Tumba (Tumba is a average sized skag and Pimon is a Bad Ass Stalker) - Lion King. Some of these shapes and sizes may look very recognizable, even to those who are not familiar with the game. It shows you a new side of Xen while being relatively slow-paced and light on combat, giving you a chance to explore and see the sights as it were.Enemies in Borderlands 2 come in all shapes and sizes. In all, I don’t see this chapter as filler material. The combat is decent, although I think Gearbox could have made the focus emitter segment into a decent setpiece battle – for example, if aliens were teleporting in while you were fiddling with the dials. I do think the first third or so of this chapter could be tightened up a bit, but otherwise it serves as a new look at Xen, without too many jumping puzzles. I found a good chunk of the ammo packs but probably not all. ![]() I did really like the later Xen areas, like the river and the deep reservoirs. I kind of like the looping design that encourages exploration although it can also frustrate players. I have one major problem with it: the opening sections feel like vent shafts. – Find all 10 of the dead HEV scientists’ ammo packs (Good luck!)Īctually a decent rendition of Xen that we see here. It’s not that hard, but you have to get on it before going on the ground, or you’d need insane skills to get back up (i think) I actually failed this because I also encountered an invisible wall (more irony) You can see me jumping on it to attempt skipping a decent part of the level at 3:05. if you get too close to the “main chumtoad” they will all vanish. Underwater after hittinf the wall numerous times. then we rush back while being shot at by everything and try to survive until the portal. ![]() We run around randomly and eventually find the crystal and turn it on (or something). the combats are just to make sure people don’t rush by too fast (oh the irony) and to make it not too easy. I think I like this xen better than half-life’s or opposing force’s because it’s more based on exploring than combat. The Replay Experience Experiment aka TREEįocal point gets us on xen, and it’s pretty awesome. ![]()
